Grace Lin

Producer & Director | London • Taiwan

Grace is a London-based Taiwanese-British producer and director with a 15-year background in factual television and journalism. Driven by a passion for observational filmmaking, she is currently developing a slate of documentaries that bridge her dual cultural roots, exploring the intersections of dance, marine ecology, queer identities, and Asian diasporic narratives. As a bilingual filmmaker with an established network of crews in both the UK and Taiwan, Grace offers a unique transnational perspective, positioning her to lead international co-productions while navigating complex cultural landscapes and logistics across both territories.

Her current slate of independent work has earned prestigious backing from major international industry bodies. This includes development funding from the Taiwan Ministry of Culture and The National Culture and Arts Foundation (NCAF), as well as selection for pitching forums such as CNEX/CCDF and AIDC ‘Cut to the Chase’. A recipient of a British Council travel grant, her flagship debut feature, Tzusy: First Person Plural, continues to receive support from esteemed mentors and is moving into pre-production.

Before focussing on independent documentaries, Grace built a robust career in broadcast television characterised by high production values and strong editorial judgement. She series-produced acclaimed travel programmes that garnered Taiwan’s Golden Bell TV Awards in 2012 and 2016, with recent credits including ‘World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys: Taiwan’ (Channel 5) and ‘Beating Covid-19’ (Discovery). Furthermore, she operates as a versatile self-shooting PD and editor for human-centred branded content, connecting global organisations with authentic, lived experiences.

Beyond her professional work, she is dedicated to supporting underrepresented voices and connecting London’s non-fiction community. Her industry involvement include:
